The eighteenth Chapter of Cinder starts as Cinder leaves the area Peony is being held in. Again we see her tested for the plague and she tests negative. This just highlights again that she is immune to the disease.
After visiting Peony, Cinder heads to the Palace. It is a little slow going in this chapter. The author takes her time to describe a lot of details about the Palace and its security system. When Cinder finally gets into the Palace, she runs into Prince Kai. Their conversation is very intense and we learn more about Cinder's fears about being found out. We also see Prince Kai invite Cinder to the ball with him.
