Today we are going to talk about The Dark Tower movie! This movie was many years in the making having been based on a book series by Stephen King. Many people had attempted to get this book turned into a movie but none were successful until 2017. The movie is based on the 7 book series which include The Dark Tower, The Gunslinger, The Waste Lands, Wolves of the Calla, and Song of Susannah.
In the start of the movie we see one of the other worlds. This world includes Matthew McConaughey trying to destroy the Tower. As the story goes along we get introduced to Jake Chambers. He is a young boy from New York and he has been having strange dreams and experiences. We quickly learn that his dreams and drawings are all connected to this other world. It is clear that Jake is different and special, but no one really understands just how special.
The whole movie follows Jake and a Gunslinger named Roland Deschain. Roland is the last Gunslinger and has vowed to protect the Tower and take "The Man in Black" down as revenge for his father. But both Jake and Roland get pulled into a fight to save not just the world they are in, but all worlds.
