Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 32

This next page is the last page! This one is the birds and so I used marker to outline them. Which my marker ran out halfway through so I tried for a fade thing to finish it. You'll notice my scanner didn't pick up the lighter browns but it is there I promise!

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 31

This next page is leaves so I coloured them in leaf colours. The background I kept Blue just to make the leaves pop out. I tried also do use different highlights to make them pop also.

This next page is the last page of our event! This page looks like birds so I am going to colour it in browns. And something to make the background support the foreground

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 30

This next page really look like anything to me. It made look like a decorative thing on a background but there's no real colours that jump out with this photo. I kind of went for a 70s or 80s wallpaper look.

This next page is clearly leaves. So I will colour them as such. I think I am going to stick to the main leafy colours: Green, Red, Brown, Orange and Yellow for the whole photo.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 29

This next page threw me for a loop a little. I started with the background. I knew I wanted again two colours that matched and made the foreground stand out. After I started colouring the designs green I regretted it a little. I wish I would have coloured the white area green and the outline in gold or silver. This is why I left it white so I could colour it in a gold or silver colour.

This next page doesn't really look like anything to me. It made look like a decorative thing on a background but there's no real colours that jump out with this photo. Time to be creative!

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 28

This next page as I said last week made me think of thunder but not much else so I tried to get two colours that matched for the background. The lightning I loosely coloured because I wanted to leave some white to it also.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 27

This next page as I said last week made me think of fidget spinners so I wanted to make it very colourful. Parts of the background I left white because I think it made everything else pop.

This next page doesn't really look like anything except lightning! I'm not exactly sure how to colour lightning, but hopefully the background will help.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 26

This next page made me think of the Fourth of July. The busts kind of look like stars with the strips in the back. I coloured the busts yellow and orange and did the strips in different blues and red. I left one strip white just to give it even more of a "Fourth of July" feel.

This next page doesn't really look like anything except circles really. They kind of make me think of Fidget Spinners. So that made me want to make them very colourful.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 25

This next page made me think of flowers. Flowers and crosses. (Okay so maybe I am a little of a Knights Templar "enthusiast".) And so I decided to use soft colours for the "flowers" and red for the middle. I also decided to use read for the circles to make it to the crosses and to leave the background white.

This next page looks a little plain. It is just star busts and strips. It actually seems like it will be fun to colour, with bigger shapes there won't be as much stress to make it perfect like some of the other pages.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 24

This next page made me think of leaves. So I took all the colours of leaves (reds, oranges, yellows, browns and greens) and coloured them in and I used a few different blues for the background to act as the sky.

This next page is odd also, they kind of look like atoms to me! I found the background was very busy so I decided not to colour it in. I think I am just going to go with colours that match an maybe leave the background simple.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 23

This next page didn't really remind me of anything! It's kind of odd looking. I tried to pick pairs of colours that went together. I found that the pink and grey looked beautiful together and the blue and red went well also. For the background I was a little surprised how well the green and brown matched together.

This next page is odd also, it reminds me of leaves. I am going to use all the colours of leaves and a nice blue background.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 22

This next page reminded me of boomerangs! I tried to stick to natural colours. And in this case I used markers for the outlines and pencil for the inside.

This next page is odd, I really don't know what they are suppose to be or what I should colour them. I guess they are just random designs.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 21

This next page reminded me of targets and squiggle lines. I decided to use all marker this time and stick to bright colours. The targets or bullseyes I decided to do colours like red, pink, yellow and orange and alternated them around.

This next page reminds me of boomerangs! It's kind of odd looking, but I enjoy the strips in the background. Not really sure what colours they should be though. I think I'm going to colour the "boomerangs" brown.

Geometric Design - CAL - Week 20

This next page was pretty cool! I used pencils for this page and because snowflakes are while, I had to be creative. I lightly coloured them in using the same blue I outlined them in, to give them a hint of colour but still keep them close to white.

This next page was a little odd. It has what looked to me like targets and squiggle lines. I decided to use all marker this time and stick to bright colours. The targets or bullseyes I decided to do colours like red, pink, yellow and orange and alternated them around.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 19

This next page was pretty fun. At first the curves reminded me of waves, as I coloured it thought it kind of turned out looking like candy or something. But I enjoyed the bright colours of this one.

This next page is obviously snowflakes. This makes me think of blues and whites, possibly Christmas. Not exactly sure how I should colour it just yet!

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 18

This next page was pretty straightforward. They are clearly birds so I coloured them light brown. For the squares, I created a pattern of my own with blues and pinks and to complete the background I used dark brown to match the birds but also to tie it all together.

This next page reminded me of waves and water. I felt like I have been using a lot of blue lately, so I don't want the whole thing to be blue, but I think I am going to focus on blues and greens.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 17

This next page was pretty simple, it had stars and a background pattern. Naturally, I went with yellows for the stars. I didn't want the background to get lost but I also didn't want it to take over either. I went with lighter blues for the background and soft pinks, to make everything stand out I added a little red also.

This next page is obviously a bird. For this, I am going to stick to browns for the birds and other soft colours for the background.

Geometric Design - CAL - Week 16

This next page had me excited. It reminded me of octopus, or some kind of sea creature. So I stuck with purples and blues for that. Also keeping with the sea idea, I used greens for the background and a soft grey to make it all pop! As I said last week my markers dried up so I stuck with all pencil this week.

This next pages looks similar to one we coloured a few weeks back. I am just going to keep this simple. The stars will be yellow, and just random colours for the background to make everything pop.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 15

This next page had me excited. I had a very good idea of what I wanted to do. I wanted the background to be dark. I grabbed grey and black right away. And of course I wanted the diamonds to pop so I went with yellow and fluorescent colours. Midway through colouring this page, my yellow marker started to dry, which was no problem, I switched to pencil and it came out looking close to the same.

However, after that my black started the dry up also. I quickly ran to the pharmacy and bought just a small 10 pack of markers to finish with but it was just not my lucky day. Unfortunately, that packages black was also dry. I made due with the black though it was extremely hard and shows. Finally, I just got sick of it and added a splash of colour to the background!

This next pages is odd looking. It makes me think of octopus. So for this page I think I will focus on blues and maybe purples, they always go well together.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 14

This next page had me worried. The last time there was rounds, I abandoned the page for a while and forced myself to finish it. But this one I loved. It was easy to colour and I choose some bright colours that I think worked really well together!

This next pages is diamonds again. And the background seems like it is going to be a pain in the butt. I want the diamonds to stand out so I think I am going to go for a dark background.

Geometric Designs - CAL - Week 13

This next page looks like action bubbles from a comic book. Or like fireworks going off on top of diamonds! Keeping this in mind, I wanted the front ground to stand out more than the background. I used markers for this whole page, I stuck to darker colours and toned down colours for the background and lighter ones for the stars.

This next pages is circles on a square background. This one worked much better for me than the little egg like circles in one of the other pages. I really enjoyed this one and hope you do too!
