Today's basic theme is super simple. And it is to make a full coursed meal. This can be any style of cooking you want. You will notice the easy and hard versions may play to certain cuisines more. For example, a seven-course meal is more associated with Italian cooking or celebrations.
The easy version of this is any meal you like but with three courses so a soup or salad, the main meal and a dessert. The only challenge here is to make sure everything goes well together. You want to make sure they complement each other. An example would be cream of mushroom soup and then a fettuccini alfredo and a cheesecake for dessert. All that is so much cream, it is just heavy on heavy on heavy. You want to keep this in mind when planning your meal.
The medium version is the seven-course meal. I put this at medium because as I said this is mostly associated with Italian Cooking. Following those traditions would give you a great menu and a cohesive one. So even though it is a lot of work, most of the planning has been done for you.
The hard and extra hard version is a five-course meal and a seven-course meal but you can not do Italian food. This one I find harder even with only the five-course meal because you have to put a lot of planning into the menu to make sure all your items work well together.
