The thirty-eighth and final Chapter of Cinder is the perfect end to what seems like a long story. After processing everything the Doctor has told her Cinder's mind is racing. Could it possibly be true? Could she really be who they say she is?
Once she has accepted the fact and her fate. Cinder is prepared for what she must do. Escape the prison, get to Africa. And that's where the book leaves us.
