Freebie Friday - Greek Salad

 So today to kick off our Salad theme not only for the Freebie Fridays and the Cooking Challenges, today we are going simple. Greek salad is one of those things that it all depends where you go and what you prefer. A traditional Greek Salad is open to interpretation. Some places add Sweet Green Peppers, others do not. Most stick to traditional ingredients like Grape or Cherry Tomatoes, Black Olives (some will put Green also), Red Onion, and of course Feta. You can feel free to add anything you want to a salad really, this is just the basics.

Salad dressing for a Greek Salad is also a tricky thing. In Greece, most places use herbs, oil, and vinegar to dress their salad. In North America, most places use a more "traditional" vinaigrette and sometimes a creamy dressing too. Again, it is all about your preference.
