Today we are sharing a paid set of Hat and Cowl called the Team Spirit Set by LauraMae Fanelli. This is a great set, it matches perfectly both in stitch and colour. It is a paid pattern but it is only $3.00 (USD), not bad. The rating on it is average and it all seems to be the same stitch so once you get a hang of it, it should be smooth sailing.

100+ Free Crochet Patterns For Winter by AllFreeCrochet
Today we are sharing 100+ Free Crochet Patterns from AllFreeCrochet. This is their winter patterns and all of them would make great items to donate to a worthy cause. Since they are all winter patterns they should be warm enough to last and if not a thicker yarn should do the trick.
Stretchy Fingerless Gloves by The Crochet Crowd
Today we are sharing the Fingerless Glove pattern by Mikey from The Crochet Crowd. Fingerless gloves have become the newest craze and they are practical. Of course alone they will not keep the fingers warm, but paired with mittens they are the dream team. Mittens will protect the fingers and yet still make them use able (where gloves would not). And this pattern is long enough that not only would they protect the hands but a little of the arms also.
Ptons Bg Tartan Crochet Pattern by Yarnspiration
Today we are sharing a nice winter pattern. This scarf by Yarnspiration is very nice and is thick for the winter. It is a great pattern to make to help someone keep warm on those chilly days. Yarnspiration offers the kit for a little less than 100 dollars but any substitutions you have should work fine also. The pattern is for an intermediate crocheter but looks simply enough to figure. The end result is beautiful. And the Big Tartan Crochet Pattern is free.
Happy Snowman Hat by 4 Kids and a Hobby
Today we are sharing a the Happy Snowman Hat by 4 Kids and a Hobby. This hat is cute and is fun for kids or adults. Of course you can choose not to put the face on and just make it a regular hat. Most hat patterns can be made larger by adding stitches.

Charity Event
Last November we shared a great way to give back to local nursing home and retirement homes in the form of Comfort Cuffs. This November we are taking on another similar type thing. This November we will be sharing patterns for Winter Items. This project is often called Warm Up the City or something of that nature. The main goal of this is to create items for homeless people or people who need a warm hat, scarf, mittens, things of that nature.
A lot of times people will leave these items around their city with a note saying, "Take me if you need me", or they donate them to local charities that do so.
