Today we have another great theme! We are going down South today and exploring the Cuisine of Louisiana. Louisiana is known for its seafood dishes, more specifically things with Crawfish. Now depending on where you live, that may not be an option, but Louisiana is known for a lot of dishes that back a lot of heat!
Creole cooking and Cajun cooking are often used interchangeably. However, the seasoning blends for each style slightly differ. Today we are focusing on Creole Seasoning and we are sharing a seasoning blend that you can use from your Gumbos to your Crab Boils.
Creole Seasoning Blend
2 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 tsp Oregano
1/2 tsp Thyme
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1/2 - 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper (depending on heat preference)
