Super Mario Odyssey is the latest installment of the Mario Franchise. Released for the Nintendo Switch on October 27, 2017, Super Mario Odyssey is a phenomenal game. The story is simple, Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach, but this time, he intends on forcing her to marry him. Mario and his new helper Cappy (who's sister Tiara was also kidnapped) must follow Bowser and Peach from kingdom to kingdom in their top-hat shaped airship, The Odyssey.
This 3D platformer includes the new feature of allowing Mario to possess his enemies by throwing Cappy at them. With a mix of new mechanics and classic 2D side-scrolling portions, Super Mario Odyssey encompasses a new adventure with nostalgic memories that any gamer can love regardless if they a new to Mario games or are a series veteran.
Super Mario Odyssey has been nominated for 6 Game Awards including Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Game Design. Best Audio Design, Best Score/Music, Best Family Game, and the most desired Game of The Year award. Super Mario Odyssey has the most nominations out of all games released in 2017.
