J. R. R. Tolkien is primarily known for writing The Lord of the Ring Trilogy and The Hobbit book. Tolkien created an amazing universe that inspired and enthralled a generation. Many say that Tolkien was the father of Fantasy, mainly because of the success of these books. After his death, Tolkien's son was left with many of his father's works that never got published in his lifetime. Christopher Tolkien took it upon himself to edit and get other works published in his father's name, these included The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales and The History of Middle-earth.
