Ancestry

Today we are talking about Ancestry.com (or .ca). Though it is not arts and crafts related it is very hobby related. Genealogy has become increasingly popular over the last couple of years. With the popularity of shows like "Who Do You Think You Are" and "Ancestors in the Attic", finding out more about family history has become a new fad.

Ancestry makes this hobby much easier and offers many different tools and resources to help you on the journey to discover your history. For free customers, Ancestry offers a Family Tree making program on their website and on their app. They also offer discussion boards and "hints". These hints usually you have to pay for and can be information from other peoples trees or from their own personal record collection. To save these to your tree you need to pay the fees associated with them (either individually or as a subscription).

Ancestry also offers other programs such as D.N.A testing for discovering other things like tracing family history to certain regions of the world. They also offer different genealogy software to help organize your information.
