The fourth chapter follows Cinder, Peony and Iko at the junkyard. While they are searching for the Magbelt, Peony has a million and one questions for Cinder about Prince Kai. Peony is obsessed with the Prince and is "fan-girling" over him. Finally as after they find a Magbelt and continue looking through the junkyard for anything else useful. Peony tells Cinders about some rumours she heard about the Prince.
As Peony talks about the rumours of Prince Kai looking for a wife and thinking of marrying Queen Levana, Cinder tells us more about the Lunar people. Lunars were a society that had evolved from an Earthen moon colony. People said Lunars could alter a person's brain. Cinder goes on to tell us some examples of rumours about Queen Levana and how awful she is.
